By Movieguide® Contributor
Actor Rob Lowe is helping his younger brother Chad Lowe after he and his family lost nearly everything in the Palisades fires.
“My brother, unfortunately, Chad lost his home, everything in it,” the 9-1-1: LONESTAR actor said. “His entire neighborhood, gone. He has three little girls, all their friends lost everything.”
Rob explained that he’s offered his brother items such as clothing to help during this difficult time.
“He got a lot of big brother hand-me-downs — he’s back to being 15 years old,” he said. “He said he loves to dress like a dad…so I [gave him] my most dad Hokas.”
Chad, an actor and director, shares daughters Nixie Barbara, 8, Fiona Hepler, 12, and Mabel Painter, 15, with wife Kim Painter. The family went to visit the remains of their home, PEOPLE reported.
“Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home,” Chad wrote on Instagram. “The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose. Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege ⭐️⭐️⭐️.”

Shortly after the fires broke out in January, Chad took to Instagram to update his followers.
“This is what remains of 10 years of building our lives. Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted by all the well wishes, and offers of assistance. We are ok and will be ok. We have each other. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers,” he posted along with photos of the devastation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all the other people who are suffering from this unimaginable disaster,” he continued. “We are incredibly grateful to all the first responders, police, and firefighters, who put their lives on the line to protect all of us. They are truly heroes.”
“Home really is where the heart is. Hold those you love close. Take care of each other. This crazy thing called ‘life’ is so…precious,” he concluded.
