By Movieguide® Contributor
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson is about to enter his 14th season in the NFL, and he couldn’t be more grateful.
“Year 14. Thank God every day!” the quarterback captioned a video of him running different drills.
Several of Wilson’s fans commented with their excitement for the upcoming season.
“A complete pro and a great representative of black men. I love this guy, he always shows up for himself, his kids, and his cause. Russell Wilson is the man,” one person wrote.
“The work never stops!” another said.

Wilson’s future with the Steelers organization has been up in the air as his contract expired.
According to Steelers Wire, “Wilson’s market value falls just short of a whopping $40 million per year. Ultimately, Wilson’s estimated contract value is around two years, $77.5 million.”
Last season, Wilson suffered an “injury very early in the offseason, opening the door for Justin Fields to start the season. He did just that and went 4-2 in his first six games,” Steelers Wire reported.
Once Wilson was able to return to the field, Fields was benched, and Wilson resumed the spot of QB1.
For seven weeks, he performed phenomenally for the Steelers but struggled through the last five games of the season.
Wilson reverted “back to some bad habits, took way too many hits and was holding onto the football for far too long. Fans and pundits were screaming for the Steelers to put Fields back in after Wilson started to struggle but to no avail.”
As of right now, Wilson’s future with the team is still uncertain. Bolavip US reported that Steelers General Manager Omar Khan told the press that his goal is to “reach an agreement with a quarterback, preferably Justin Fields or Russell Wilson, before the start of free agency,” meaning by March 10. “All options are on the table,” Khan added.
