In a recent episode of Sadie Robertson Huff’s “Whoa That’s Good” podcast, the Christian influencer encouraged her followers to get to know God so they can understand and apply the Bible better.

“Where is your faith today, friend? What a gift it is to be able to put our faith in the same God who raised Jesus from the grave! Get to know Him and receive the peace everyone is searching for!” Huff captioned the post.

“If you’re going to be confident that God being with you is going to be the thing that’s going to make you not afraid, then you really have to get to know who God is. Because if you don’t know who God is, then that doesn’t really mean anything to you,” she shared.

Huff continued, “If you don’t know who God is, and I say, ‘Oh my gosh, listen to this,’ you might walk through the valley of the shadow of death, but the Word says, ‘Do not fear for I am with you, for my rod and my staff they will comfort you. I’m the Good Shepherd of life.’ If you don’t know the Good Shepherd, if you don’t know God well then, they might say, ‘Well what does this mean to me?’”

Huff encouraged her followers to get to know God through church, prayer, Bible reading and fellowship.

“So, my encouragement to you is to get to know God. If you get to know who God is, if you read the Scriptures, you’re going to realize who is on your side.”

Huff’s mother Korie Robertson joined her on the podcast.

“That makes me think about the disciples in the boat when the storm comes,” Robertson added. “They’re so scared. Jesus is over there sleeping and they’re so scared and they wake him up and they’re like ‘Do you even care that we’re going to die here?’ and then Jesus is like, ‘What are you afraid of? Where is your faith?’ And it’s because they don’t yet know Jesus. They don’t quite understand who He is yet.”

Many followers appreciated Huff’s encouragement.

One follower said, “Love this!! Getting to know God is crucial to this life! More and more people are looking away from God instead of towards God. Thank you for sharing your light and helping point others to God.”

Another person wrote, “THIS is the goodness and reminder that I needed in this phase of life. Thank you always.”
