Are You Really Following God? Sadie Robertson Huff Wants You to Know This

Sadie Robertson Huff is reminding us that there’s a significant difference between saying you believe in God and actually following Him and being “obedient” to His word.

“I think, so often in today’s world, we are so confident to stand up and say we believe in God, while publicly and directly disobeying God,” Huff said during a sermon at Passion Conferences.

She continued, “We think as long as we go to church, as long as we’re known as the people of God, as long as people know I believe in God, then I can live whatever life I want to live. And guess what? No one’s really going to come after me for that, because I’m not lost. And I’m kind of hiding in plain sight. Because I’m a Hebrew and I believe in God, and I fear the Lord, and I’m saying the right things, but you’re going in the wrong direction.”

“It’s one thing to say you believe in God. Even the demons believe in God,” Huff said. “It’s another thing to follow God, to be obedient to God, to respond to the voice of God and the call of God on your life.”

Huff added, “I think about it like this: what does it even mean to say you fear the Lord? What does it even mean…to say he fears the Lord while directly disobeying the Lord? And you think, ‘Oh, it’s okay because [I believe].’ You know, it’s not okay, because the call of God on your life is not just about you.”

In a post celebrating the Passion Conference, Huff wrote, “The first passion was more than we could have ever imagined. What a gift to be in a room full of people who WANT GOD! May we leave here and live our life fully for the Glory Of God!”

Huff is getting ready to embark on an exciting new project. After years of rumors, dad Willie Robertson confirmed that the family is “getting back in production” with a reboot of DUCK DYNASTY.

Huff and her mother had previously spoken about the possibility of a return to television for the family.
