Savannah Chrisley In ‘State Of Gratitude’ Over Friends’ Support

By Movieguide® Contributor

Savannah Chrisley is opening up about being authentic online and showing people the good and the bad in her life.

“I think, seeing that people don’t care to have perfect…people want something they can relate to, and people want to know that they’re not alone,” she said during an episode of Sadie Robertson Huff’s “WHOA That’s Good” podcast.

Chrisley continued, “I will be as open and honest as I can possibly be about everything that I’m going through because you don’t know who it can touch and it can affect, and I think that’s just the driving force behind why I keep speaking.”

Huff chimed in, adding, “If you hear me preaching about something, that’s not because I figured it out. That’s because I’m going through it.”

Chrisley also spoke about what it has been like dealing with her grief of being separated from her parents, Todd and Julie, who are currently in prison for financial crimes.

“I miss Mom and Dad so much, but I’m surrounded by all these people that love and care about us, and in a time where you could be very alone, I’m not,” she said. “Instead of being in this state of sadness, [I am] in this state of gratitude for all the love and people that are here.”

Chrisley has previously spoken about the importance of having a support system, especially during this difficult time.

“To see the people around me that have loved us and cared about us, it made me realize that family isn’t just blood,” she explained to E! Online. “You can have a family that you weren’t born into. And for me, those are friends. Those are friends who show up like family show up. And for that, I’m so grateful.”

Chrisley has also been leaning on her faith.

“Thank you God for keeping my heart open,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “Thank you for giving me everything I never knew I needed.”

Movieguide® previously reported on how Chrisley and her parents are navigating this time:

The Chrisley family are dealing with a series of issues, from a dangerous car accident, to ongoing legal trouble.

Daughter Savannah recently updated fans on how her parents are facing the situation.

“They’re pushing through,” she said. “We’re at a place where we put our faith in God. We definitely don’t put our faith in the system.”

Savannah continued, “I’ve never seen two people, my parents, be so steadfast in their faith and in prayer … just literally on their knees every morning praying. It’s just so admirable, and that’s kinda just my focus. Just watching them and still learning … growing from them in times like this, and just kinda staying strong through it all … knowing that, in the end, the truth will prevail. And it may get harder before it gets easier, but we have faith.”
