Angel Studios has announced that SOUND OF FREEDOM will begin hitting homes as early as October 13.
The launch to home entertainment will begin with an exclusive viewing window for the Angel Guild beginning on October 13 through the Angel Studios app.
The movie will become available for digital purchase on November 3, followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release on November 14. Digital rental of the movie will start on December 15.
“The Angel Guild selected and made SOUND OF FREEDOM so successful theatrically. They decide what projects are green-lit and are presented to audiences,” Jared Geesey, Chief Distribution Officer at Angel Studios, said in a statement. “We are so honored to give them exclusive early access to this film prior to its wider release through the world’s leading digital platforms and retailers.”
SOUND OF FREEDOM was the surprise hit of the summer. Released on July 4, the movie had a long-lasting draw in the U.S. before international demand launched the movie into theaters worldwide. Since its release, the movie has grossed over $200 million at the international box office.
The hit phenomenon will soon be available at home for you and your family to enjoy anytime.

SOUND OF FREEDOM is officially No. 1 in 18 countries across Latin America.
“The domestic box office performance on SOUND OF FREEDOM has been an incredible success story, but some industry experts have argued our film would not be able to translate this success overseas,” Jared Geesey, the Chief Distribution Officer at Angel Studios, shared in a press release. “We’re grateful to our fans for proving them wrong, and making us the number one movie in Latin America.”
He continued, “We’re seeing packed theaters, standing ovations, widespread enthusiasm, and strong word-of-mouth from Buenos Aires to Mexico City to Bogota to Caracas, Lima, and beyond. We set a goal of reaching 2 million in advance ticket sales — which took a full week in the US — and reached that goal in just four days in Latin America. This film is fast-becoming a global movement for change.”
