What Stephen Baldwin’s Wife Really Thought About Him Joining This Reality Show
By Movieguide® Contributor
Stephen Baldwin and action sports star Carey Hart joined SPECIAL FORCES: WORLD’S TOUGHEST TEST and got candid about how their wives really felt about them joining the TV show.
SPECIAL FORCES: WORLDS TOUGHEST TEST, a reality series, sees “Celebrities from all genres take on — and try to survive — demanding training exercises led by directing staff agents, an elite team of ex-Special Forces operatives.
“In this unique series, the only way for these recruits to leave is to give up on their own accord, through failure or potential injury, or by force from the agents,” the description continued. “Viewers see the recruits face the harshest of environments that simulate the highly classified selection process, pushing themselves in the ultimate test of their physical, mental and emotional resilience and revealing the celebrities’ deepest and truest character.”

While Hart and Baldwin’s wives weren’t excited about their decision to join the show, they begrudgingly supported them.
“You know, I have a tendency to do kind of wild and off-the-wall things and experiences, and my wife takes them in stride, you know. And she’s like, ‘Okay, well, this is something you really want to do. You are an idiot, but I support it,’” Hart said of his wife, pop star Pink. “You know, go, get through it in one piece because she’s been along the ride for many, many injuries that I’ve sustained and recovered from. So she’s calculated. I’m reckless, so, but she was very supportive.”
“My wife is calculated, and I was restless, but it’s quite similar,” Baldwin echoed of his wife Kennya Baldwin. “You said before your wife’s like, ‘You’re an idiot, you’re crazy. Go for it.’ My wife doesn’t call me an idiot. She just looks at me like you’re just gonna do what you’re gonna do anyway…whether I say do it or not.”
“But again, this was my wife speaking to me about whether or not I should do SPECIAL FORCES is very different, simply because we’ve been together 35 years,” Baldwin continued. “So, there’s a whole lot more history there of my madness and my adrenaline junkie activity. But without question, by far, SPECIAL FORCES world’s toughest test for me was life-changing.”
