TBN Releases Fall Schedule: ‘Committed to Excellence’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) announced its new fall schedule, including new programming.

“TBN is committed to excellence in programming with content that encourages and inspires, while continuing to be a place viewers can trust. Our new lineup of shows offers engaging and relevant content to a wide range of viewers, and we are excited to share that with our audience this upcoming season,” TBN president Matt Crouch stated, according to Christian News Wire.

Fall programming includes:

1. GOD’S APPOINTED TIMES: Rabbi Jason Sobel “takes us through an exciting exploration of the biblical holidays, showing us how these sacred times of the year, rich in spiritual significance, can help us gain a deeper understanding of our faith and embrace the fullness of our inheritance as believers,” TBN wrote. GOD’S APPOINTED TIMES will premiere Thursday, August 31, at 9:30 p.m. E.T.

2. THE DANIEL DILEMMA: Based on Chris Hodges’ book, “Christians today face a dilemma: in a world that seems to reject everything we believe, how do we walk closely with God and hold to our Christian values without caving to pressure or alienating those we hope to reach…Pastor Chris Hodges illustrates how we can stay true to our biblical convictions while maintaining a powerful testimony. We can respond to today’s hard questions without compromising truth or grace,” TBN shared. This will air Monday, September 11 at 10 p.m. E.T.

3. 18 MINUTES WITH JESUS: “Drawing from decades of study, Dr. Robert Jeffress breaks down Jesus’s most well-known (yet least-followed) teachings about happiness, faith, relationships, sex, reconciliation, prayer, money, and more. He shows how we often misunderstand and misapply these verses and unpacks exactly what Jesus was teaching us about our own hearts and minds,” TBN stated. 18 MINUTES WITH JESUS will air Saturday, September 23, at 7:30 p.m. E.T.

“With this fresh batch of shows, TBN hopes to expand their reach into more households while focusing on content viewers care about most,” TBN reported.

Movieguide® previously reported on TBN’s recent accomplishment, 50 years on the air:

Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) is celebrating 50 years on the air.

The network was launched in 1973 as a local, part-time channel. It is now one of America’s most-watched faith/family channels.

“TBN’s first fifty years was a miraculous journey,” TBN President Matt Crouch said about this milestone. “But I’m even more excited for the next fifty. My parents had no choice but to pour every resource into simply building a distribution platform.”

He continued, “Today through the Internet, a global broadcast platform we didn’t have to create, TBN is connected to every screen in the world, allowing us to prioritize the production of content at a level of quality, excellence, and impact previously unseen in Christian programming.”
