TCM Moves Annual Film Festival to At-Home Event

By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor

TCM announced March 24 that their annual film festival will now be an at-home event.

The festival normally takes place in Hollywood, CA in April each year. However, with the COVID-19 Stay-at-Home order by California governor, Gavin Newsom,  TCM made adjustments.

TCM shared the news in with a video featuring longtime TCM host Ben Mankiewicz.

The at-home event titled “Special Home Edition” will take place during the same time as the previously scheduled festival, April 16, 2020- April 19, 2020, but audiences won’t have to leave their couches for the classic entertainment.

In addition to screening classic movies, TCM will share previous interviews with classic actors and actresses from prior festivals such as Christian actress Faye Dunaway and TROY’s Peter O’Toole.

Some noteworthy mentions in the lineup include:

Friday April 17, 2020:

THE SEVENTH SEAL

SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON

Saturday April 18, 2020:

SERGEANT YORK

CASABLANCA

Sunday April 19, 2020:
