From exciting new movies to more episodes of your favorite shows, here’s everything that’s coming to Angel Studios’ streaming platform in April.

“Since Angel reached our goal of 1 million Guild Members in March, our company is even more energized to continually offer a full slate of new projects that share inspiring stories and entertainment that amplify light,” David Fischer, the Director of Business Affairs and Acquisitions at Angel Studios, said in a press release. “With the growth of the Guild, Angel is able to efficiently select projects that will be both beloved and championed by the audience, and we are confident that this slate of films and shows will continue to give families trusted entertainment options.”

On April 8, HARD MILES will hit the platform. Inspired by an incredible true story, HARD MILES follows “A prison social worker [who] forms a cycling team of teenage convicts and takes them on a 1,000-mile ride that changes their lives.”

DANDELION DUST will premiere April 10 and is based on a novel by the same name from Karen Kingsbury. A couple struggles with the true meaning of being a parent when, after their adopted son’s birth mother reappears and wants her son back, they must decide whether or not to fight for custody.

LORD OF THE RINGS actor Sean Astin stars in WOODLAWN, where “a gifted high-school football player must learn to embrace his talent and his faith as he battles racial tensions on and off the field.” WOODLAWN debuts April 22.

Kids will love THABO AND THE RHINO CASE, which tells the story of kid detective Thabo and his efforts to find out who killed a rhino for its horn. THABO AND THE RHINO CASE premieres April 29.

There are also plenty of new episodes of popular Angel shows, including TUTTLE TWINS (April 1), SOMEBODY’S GOTTA DO IT (April 2), LIVE NOT BY LIES (April 8) and VINDICATION (April 10).

LIVE NOT BY LIES’ producer R.J. Moeller said that the main theme of the docuseries is “exploring the real life stories of folks who survived Russian communism in the 20th century, who survived that persecution and the way they did it was by living in truth, by telling the truth,” per The Daily Signal.

Angel is also launching a new show, THE WAYFINDERS, which “follows three highschoolers mistakenly transported to a brutal medieval world. Falling in with unlikely comrades caught in a civil war, the teens fight for survival as they search for a way back home.” The pilot episode premieres April 28.

One of the most exciting projects Angel Studios has coming out this month? KING OF KINGS, an animated movie that tells the story of Jesus’ life — through the words of Charles Dickens.

“I was a big fan of films and animation,” director Jang Seong-Ho told The Christian Post. “And at the same time, I read all of Charles Dickens’ books. Later on, I found out that there’s this book, ‘The Life of Our Lord,’ and I read it. After reading it, I thought it would be very unique to talk about Jesus’ story through Charles Dickens.”

He continued, “There’s a lot of content talking about Jesus’ story, but delivering those messages through the perspective of Charles Dickens — I thought that will be meaningful, and also it will bring uniqueness.”

KING OF KINGS will premiere in theaters April 20 (trailer via YouTube).

Angel is also spotlighting plenty of comedians for new episodes of their DRY BAR COMEDY SPECIAL, including Kenny Mock (April 11), Tommy Morin (April 18), Mal Hall (April 23) and Mark Brady (April 25).

Other new releases include THE LAST CHAMPION (April 3), CASE FOR CHRIST (April 15), THE HIDING PLACE (April 17), THE GARDEN CARTOON (April 17) and THE STRAY (April 24).

Exciting new movies, shows and comedy specials — this April, Angel Studios has it all!
