THE BLIND to Stream Exclusively on Great American Pure Flix

THE BLIND, the movie about DUCK DYNASTY star Phil Robertson’s incredible life story, will stream exclusively on Great American Pure Flix starting March 22.

“The message of THE BLIND is wherever a soul is on life’s journey, it is never too late to find redemption. We are honored to be the exclusive streaming home to such a high quality movie,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media.

“THE BLIND, starring Aron von Andrian and Amelia Eve, had a limited theatrical run in Q4 2023, opened at #4, extended its release five times by popular demand, and is still the most successful release in Fathom Events history,” a press release said.

THE BLIND tells the story of how Robertson, formerly an unfaithful husband and alcohol addict, found his way to redemption.

“When I ran up on Jesus all those years ago, I didn’t know a movie about my worst moments would help reach thousands in theirs. We pray everyone will watch THE BLIND on Great American Pure Flix so they can see that redemption and forgiveness are for every last one of us,” said Robertson.

Last fall, Movieguide® reported Robertson’s hopes for the movie:

“I started the year praying we’d bring just one person to Jesus with THE BLIND. Well, our little movie helped thousands run up on Jesus, and that’s what I’m most thankful for this year. That and getting to cook duck and dressing for my family,” Robertson [said].

In an Instagram post, Robertson wrote that, before he found Jesus, he was his “own God.” He gave into numerous self-centered sins. But he wants people to know that God doesn’t give up on anyone, not even the worst of sinners.

His wife, Miss Kay, never gave up on Robertson throughout his ordeal.

She shared a clip from the movie and told Instagram followers about the first time she saw Robertson after he repented to God.

“I’ll never forget watching this scene for the first time on THE BLIND. It took me back to that moment all those years ago. I can still remember staring into his eyes and thinking to myself  ‘Something’s different,’” she said.

“His eyes held so much grief, but at the same time there was this flicker of hope. It was like he was letting me see into his soul for the very first time,” she continued. “I’ll never forget the way I felt and I remember praying to God that this was the beginning of something new.”

Part of Movieguide®’s review reads:

THE BLIND is a good movie as a Christian testimony. That said, it doesn’t follow the rules of filmmaking. So, it may not win a big audience. The movie is propelled by the jeopardy, and vice and drinking, but Jesus is extolled . THE BLIND is a rough movie. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution, especially for children and young teenagers.
