THE CHOSEN cast has a few humorous warnings they want to give fans who will watch Season 5 in theaters.
“Thus saith THE CHOSEN—” George H. Xanthis, who plays John, began in a CHOSEN YouTube video on Tuesday.
“Thou shalt silence thy phone and thy candy wrappers—,” added Luke Dimyan, who plays Judas, “—thy little ones and thy herds of livestock,” added Joey Vahedi, who plays Thomas.
“Furthermore, as long as the performance doth endure, thou shalt not text—,” said Shahar Isaac, who plays Simon. “—nor make calls with thy voice nor post messages to thy boards,” Xanthis added.
The cast continued with old-fashioned instructions not to obstruct the aisles with “thine stuff” and to walk in orderly fashion to the exit. And don’t forget to wash your hands and your neighbor’s feet after a trip to the “privy.”
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s poppet-corn,” added Noah James, who plays Andrew.
“Nor their sweet morsels, nor their bubbling brew,” said Xanthis.
“Moreover, thou shalt not smuggle refreshments in thy satchel,” warned Vahedi.
The cast also warned not to throw food, stones or javelins at “thy enemies on the screen.” Viewers should also remember not to disturb their neighbors by sleeping or snoring. Don’t use your neighbor’s garb as a handkerchief, and don’t kick his seat.
“And lastly, lest the wrath of thy neighbor burn against thee—” James said, “—thou shalt bridle thy tongue and spoil not the story,” Xanthis finished.
“And if thou dost observe the commandments we give thee today, it shall go well with thee and thou shalt enjoy a blessed season upon this green,” said Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus. “Enjoy.”

On Tuesday/April Fools Day, THE CHOSEN Instagram also joked about and teased Jesus’ table-flipping scene in Season 5.
It shared a meme of Roumie as Jesus, angry, and threatening with a staff. “I came to give signs and flip tables and I just ran out of signs,” the picture reads. “We think you’ll agree, Season 5 is pretty flippin’ awesome,” read the caption.
Part One of Season 5 came out on March 28. Part Two begins on April 4 and Part Three on April 11. A “Binge Fest” of the season will be available April 12-13 and April 19-20.
“In this season, you’re going to see these big, epic moments that we all know and we’ve all heard about — but especially you’re going to get to see the intimacy and the authenticity and the relationships,” the show’s creator Dallas Jenkins said of the new season.
