By Movieguide® Staff

The Kendrick Brothers and Sony Pictures Affirm Films partner again for the Kendrick Brothers’ first documentary, SHOW ME THE FATHER, due out this September.

“Everyone has a father story, but not everyone has learned how to redeem it for their own good and the good of others,” Executive producer Stephen Kendrick said.

The documentary will focus on fatherhood from a God-to-us perspective.

Christian Newswire reported:

As their first documentary release, the Kendrick Brothers’ SHOW ME THE FATHER aims to surprise viewers with captivating stories interwoven with inspirational truths about the fatherhood of God.

SHOW ME THE FATHER is not their only project in the works.

The Kendrick Brothers will also re-release COURAGEOUS on its 10th anniversary with new scenes.

Movieguide® previously reported:

“BIG NEWS! It was exciting to share with our Sherwood church family that COURAGEOUS the movie will have new scenes inserted and be re-released in theaters next year. We now will get to see what happens to many of the character ten years later! It’s a new ending with a few surprises! More details coming soon,” The Kendrick Brothers shared on Facebook.

Christian Newswire reports that both movies are releasing in a cross-promotional effort and promise to leave audiences inspired and challenged.

The Kendrick Brothers look to make an impact on the perception of fatherhood once again.

“Even though fatherlessness is directly connected to so much brokenness in today’s world, we wanted to go beyond traditional documentaries and show how God is the perfect Father and can amazingly provide the love and healing to anyone at any stage in life,” Stephen Kendrick said.
