THE MASKED SINGER Goes All Out for Season 10 Celebrations

By Movieguide® Contributor

THE MASKED SINGER has major plans to celebrate season 10 of the hit show.

The season will kick off September 10 with a special premiere episode following an NFL doubleheader. The special episode will include “one of the biggest, can’t-miss unmaskings in the show’s history,” along with special duet performances from previous celebrity masked singers.

The competition will begin on September 27 as the show introduces an exciting, all-new format with three groups and a battle royale semi-finals episode.

The costumes will be as extravagant as ever, including a donut, anteater, hawk and a life-sized s’more this season.

Season 10 will also introduce themed episodes, such as a “Trolls Night” before the release of the next movie in the Trolls franchise, TROLLS BAND TOGETHER, and a “Harry Potter Night” the week of Halloween. Other themes include “NFL Night,” “One Hit Wonders” and “Soundtrack of My Life.”

The upcoming season is hosted by Nick Cannon and judged by Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke. The judges will get a chance to use the “Ding Dong Keep It On Bell” during the battle-royal semi-finals to save their favorite contestant from elimination.

“It’s still surreal,” Ken Jeong told Parade.com about the milestone. “It does blow my mind; I’ve been so blessed to have been a part of so many things. I’m just very grateful, you know, and I’m very happy. And I’m continuing to have fun; I’m continuing to love what I do.”

THE MASKED SINGER has ranked as Fall’s top unscripted show for the past four years and has consistently brought in roughly seven million viewers every week.

Movieguide® previously reported on THE MASKED SINGER:

Actor Dick Van Dyke recently surprised judges and audiences with an appearance in Season 9 of THE MASKED SINGER at the age of 97.

The Hollywood legend dressed as the “Gnome” character on the show and performed Frank Sinatra’s hit song, “When You’re Smiling.”

“This is the most seasoned and most decorated we’ve had on our show, ladies and gentlemen,” THE MASKED SINGER host Nick Cannon said after Van Dyke’s mask was removed.
