The Property Brothers Are Delivering a New Show This November

Drew and Jonathan Scott are helping frustrated homeowners find a new love for their spaces in their upcoming series DON’T HATE YOUR HOUSE WITH THE PROPERTY BROTHERS.

“During the six-episode season, the Brothers will confer with clients to understand their home’s shortfalls and make a game plan to address what’s not working for them,” a description of the show reads. “With a set budget, Drew and Jonathan will take down walls, tear out kitchens and reconfigure living areas, assessing any hidden damage along the way that could impact the homeowners’ wish lists. They’ll reassure the families throughout the daunting renovation process and offer encouragement in emotional moments as they say goodbye to original rooms that hold treasured family memories.”

The brothers shared that many older homes don’t use their space as efficiently as they could. Thus, the brothers are breathing new life into these spaces by modernizing them and making them more acceptable for today’s families.

“We get the frustration because oftentimes the original layout found in older houses doesn’t make the best use of the space,” Jonathan explained. “Drew and I know we can make these homes so much better.”

“We see the potential when we walk in and find boxy layouts and isolated spaces,” Drew added. “Transforming a home to truly suit a family’s needs will create a better environment and happier home life for everyone.”

DON’T HATE YOUR HOUSE WITH THE PROPERTY BROTHERS premieres on HGTV on November 13th.

While in the upcoming series they will be helping families they don’t personally know, the brothers recently tackled a renovation project that hit closer to home. As the brothers have begun to focus on their own families, they missed having their parents nearby. In September they revealed that they moved their mom and dad across international borders into their new dream home, which was renovated to their liking by Drew and Jonathan.

Movieguide® previously reported:

“The Property Brothers,” Jonathan and Drew Scott, took on a personal project recently when they renovated their parent’s new home as they moved across international borders to be closer to their kids.

“We wanted our parents to feel just as much at home here as they did at their ranch in the Canadian Rocky Mountains,” the brothers wrote in the September/October edition of HGTV Magazine. “So, we tailored the home perfectly to them.”

The home is a Spanish-style bungalow originally built in 1928. The brothers, however, revamped it to feel modern while remaining true to the original style.

The rooms highlighted in the article include a music room and art studio — to aid their parents’ artistic passions — a front porch perfect for spending hours on, a beautiful open living room with a fireplace focal point, a stylish dining room and bar nook, a chic master bedroom and an amazing backyard with a back patio made to be their parent’s oasis.
