This Hollywood Attitude Annoys Chris Pratt — He Explains Why

By Movieguide® Contributor

Chris Pratt revealed that he gets incredibly annoyed when actors complain about their jobs rather than being grateful for the incredible opportunity they have.

“It sucks when people have a crappy attitude. So when you show up on set, there’s no reason why you should…Like, ‘Oh, are you having a hard time living your dream? Is that tough for you today?’ Like, come on and pull your head out. Have fun,” Pratt said during a New York Comic Con panel.

“Look, these guys can attest to this, because they’re the same way, like, there’s no room for s—ty attitudes there,” Pratt continued. “You can’t have a bad…you can’t have a bad attitude in moviemaking, it ruins everything for everyone, and then you don’t last long.”

Rather than allowing himself to take his position in Hollywood for granted, Pratt savors his opportunities and uses his platform to promote his values.

Pratt’s main talking points include his faith, patriotism and love for his family. Though he knows he is living the dream, the actor constantly thanks God for the life that he has, rather than taking credit for his success, and points others to the Lord whenever he can.

“Nobody is perfect,” Pratt said in 2018 when accepting an MTV award. “People are going to tell you-you’re perfect just the way you are. You’re not! You are imperfect, you always will be. But, there is a powerful force that designed you that way, and if you are willing to accept that, you will have grace, and grace is a gift. And, like the freedom we enjoy in this country, that grace was paid for with somebody else’s blood. Do not forget it, don’t take it for granted. God bless you.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Pratt:

Cully Pratt, a California police officer and artist, who also happens to be older brother to Hollywood megastar Chris Pratt, is on a mission to help kids in tough neighborhoods plagued by gang activity and out-of-control drop-out rates.

Pratt and his famed brother came together last fall to support The Leaven at the Christian organization’s annual “Mayor’s Gala” event, and Pratt has continued to be a vocal proponent, recently telling The Pure Flix Podcast that The Leaven is offering a truly unique after-school mentor and tutor program.

“They are the solution. I’ve been in law enforcement now … coming on 16 years,” Pratt said. “And this is one of the best programs that I’ve seen to where [police] departments involved, fire departments are involved and leaders of the community are involved.”
