This Hollywood Star Isn’t Ashamed of His Faith

Mario Lopez is unashamed of his faith despite working in Hollywood.
“My faith is very important to me, and I’m vocal about it… I’m not ashamed,” the actor and television host recently told Fox News Digital.
The SAVED BY THE BELL actor also makes faith the foundation of his family’s lives.
“My kids are raised in a faith-based education. They all go to Catholic school,” he said. “It’s something that’s the infrastructure of our family, and I’m proud of that.”
“Our family has a very strong faith foundation, and we believe that that’s something so important to have from the minute you wake up to the minute you go to sleep,” his wife, Courtney, said previously. “I never take for granted everything that God has blessed us with, is blessing us with, will continue to bless us with. My family, my health, first and foremost. You just can’t take things for granted. And I’m constantly instilling that in my kids because at the end of the day, I want them to know what’s important.”

Lopez sees faith as a muscle that needs continually strengthened.
“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to build more spiritual muscle,” he explained. “I think it also is no coincidence that because of that, things have been going really well for me. So, I feel very fortunate and very grateful for that.”
Lopez and his family take their faith values to the screen, most recently through their Great American Family movie ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH, which starred Lopez, Courtney and their son.

A clip posted to Instagram highlights the couple’s dance skills. “Just a little sneak peek at what Mrs. Lopez & I have in store for you,” Lopez wrote.
A synopsis of the new film reads:
In ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH, Mayor Brian Ortega (Mario Lopez) is beloved in the idyllic community of Long Grove. While decorating for Christmas with the residents, Brian discovers his childhood Christmas wish list which magically begins to come true, reminding Brian about the spirit and joy of the holiday. Returning to town for Christmas is Brian’s childhood friend Nina Meyers (Courtney Lopez), and soon a connection becomes undeniable as she helps Brian face a new challenge for the town. As Brian’s wishes come true, he inspires the town to showcase its warm culture and values in order to stop the modern world from stifling the charm and heart of Long Grove.
