Country star Thomas Rhett paused a recent Nashville concert to pray for a fan suffering from a medical emergency at the event.

News Busters reports that while Rhett was performing his song “Craving You,” a man began to experience an emergency. The singer went to the side of the stage and spoke with those around the man, asking if there were “any doctors in the house.”

After learning more about the situation, he led the crowd in prayer.

“Father God, we just ask for healing over Terry. We know that you are the ultimate physician. We know that you are the ultimate healer… [We] pray for Terry’s family right now, cause [they’re] pretty scared for Terry—who’s very scared,” he said.

“God we know that you are a miracle worker. We just pray over Terry and his family right now. We ask that everybody in this room, after they leave tonight, will continue to pray for Terry and his family,” Rhett continued.

“We love you, we thank you for Jesus. We pray this in His name, Amen,” he added as fans began cheering.

Following the concert, Rhett gave an update on social media, sharing that Terry is okay after a trip to the hospital.

“I’m thankful to report that Terry, who needed medical attention at last night’s show in Nashville, is home and doing well. He and his family appreciate all the prayers! Love y’all so much,” the country singer posted on X, formerly Twitter.

It is encouraging to see public figures be open about their faith and lean on the power of prayer during moments like these.

Movieguide® previously reported:

Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky recently took time to pray to God after an ambulance took Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin off the field.

“Maybe this is not the right thing to do,” Orlovsky said, before bowing his head in prayer. “It’s just on my heart that I want to pray for Damar Hamlin right now. I’m going to do it out loud, I’m going to close my eyes, I’m going to bow my head, and I’m just going to pray for him.”

Orlovsky’s bold proclamation of faith in God and the power of prayer came after Hamlin collapsed on the field. After attempting CPR for several minutes, an ambulance escorted Hamlin off the field.

Players of both teams and their coaching staff formed a circle to pray for Hamlin.
