Tiffany Hudson Celebrates Debut Album: ‘Lord Has Led Me’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Elevation Worship member Tiffany Hudson recently opened up about her debut solo album, “Hidden Here,” and why she never thought she would create a solo project.

“I never had a desire to do a solo project until I felt the Lord begin to invite me into a process of writing and discovering some things that were on His heart in early 2022,” she told Relevant Magazine.

“After a season of what felt like creative drought, I felt like the Lord started to download inspiration from His word, and my time with Him in the morning became more real than ever. As the Lord spoke to me, I felt charged to write a response to Him through song. Oftentimes in my life, I’ve felt like the Lord has led me step by step, so for now, this little offering is that next step,” Hudson explained.

The singer-songwriter shared that the songs in “Hidden Here” were more personal than usual.

“It felt more like a personal, devotional type of song that I would want to say to the Lord,” Hudson told CBN.

Hudson shared that the rest of the Elevation team provided “support and encouragement” as she embarked on this project.

“As a first timer [solo artist], I learned so much about what it means to sit in the driver seat and truly trust the direction the Lord was leading me,” she explained. “I wasn’t used to being the final say on arrangements or production, so it really challenged me to grow in my leadership. Although many decisions would land on me, this project is the product of many gifted people that poured their hearts and gifts into this. There’s nothing ‘solo’ about doing a solo project. I felt so blessed to be in such a supportive environment with many people willing to contribute in whatever way needed.”

Hudson celebrated the album’s release on Instagram, writing that she is “so grateful for all the love & support” she has received from listeners.

“These songs have been sung in private & prayed over for months! Getting to release them to the world has felt weighty, but in a relieving kind of way,” she said. “The fruit of this album is not streams (although I’m grateful for everyone listening). I pray the fruit of this album is the hearts that surrender a little more to Jesus. Those that answer the call of deep devotion to the only one worthy of living for.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Hudson’s new album:

Elevation Worship’s Tiffany Hudson has just released her debut solo album, Hidden Here, and shared her thoughts on the process.

“I feel so grateful,” Hudson said of the project’s release. “I mean, all of the emotions kind of all at once, but the main emotion I feel is just gratitude that the songs are here.”

The singer shared that she “never had a desire” to pursue a solo career, ”But I felt like the Lord had invited me into this process.”

Hudson started writing songs in 2022 during something she called “a season of what felt like a creative drought,” adding that the process “began a journey of sitting with Him, writing, co-writing and desiring to write on the things He had placed in my heart.”
