TikTok Sensation Takes Over Music Industry for Christ: ‘Jesus Is Coming’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Up-and-coming artist Forrest Frank has taken TikTok by storm and is making an impact on the music industry for Christ.
Aside from his “viral TikTok tracks [which] are as beloved as his radio singles, [Frank] is encouraging his fans to boldly stand up for Jesus,” Crosswalk Headlines reported.
“Frank has garnered more than 4 million followers across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok,” the outlet continued, “driven by his feel-good tracks like ‘Up’ and ‘Good Day,’ which are frequently featured as background music in TikTok and other social media videos.”
Frank explained why he encourages his fans to openly proclaim their faith.
“You don’t know if Jesus is coming back tomorrow. It says He’s coming back like a thief in the night,” he said. “So don’t wait till tomorrow because, in 10 minutes, Jesus could come back.”
Christians often hold back from “shining the light of Jesus until later, and that just means you’re stalling. Start now,” Frank emphasized.
This summer, Frank released Child of God, his first full-length album. It became a No. 1 hit on iTunes across all genres.
“Really just beyond stoked for what Gods doing right now,” he said on Instagram of the album’s success. “I feel a cultural shift taking place.”
“It’s borderline hilarious that He would use someone like me to do this work…but I guess He does love to use the least qualified,” he continued. “Or maybe it’s the prayers & generational blessings, idk…but I don’t deserve this. I’m just out here doing what I love and He keeps providing. Thank you for listening and sharing and supporting. Let’s do this forever.”
Before his solo career took off, Frank was part of a band called Surfaces. One day he was writing worship songs at home and felt God calling him to share them.
“In the peace and quiet of my home, I just started writing these worship songs, and I felt like God was telling me to put one of them out,” he explained. “And so I did, and it just took off. The very first video that I filmed of it just went completely viral. And so I took another video of it, and that one went viral…It wasn’t like I was a genius or did anything. I just kind of took a swing, and God completely blessed it, and it was completely beyond me.”
Since then, the social media sensation has taken his music across the country as part of his Child of God tour which sold out in every location.
