Tim and Demi-Leigh Tebow are sharing what they’re most excited about as they prepare to be first-time parents.
“The thing I’m most excited about is seeing a little Demi,” Tim told Parents. “I just think it’s going to be so fun to watch Demi be a mom, because I think this entire pregnancy, she’s just had a glow about her. She’s loved it.”
He added, “It’s something we’ve been called to, and it’s such a blessing, so we’re honored.”
“On a light note, I’m just excited to see him rock a pink stroller,” Demi-Leigh joked.
She continued, “We’re so, so thrilled and so blessed and so grateful for this blessing and this life that we get to help steward and help raise. That’s obviously a very big responsibility, but one that we take on so, so gladly.”
The Tebows announced that they were expecting their first child in January. The couple did a gender reveal in March, and shared they will be having a baby girl.
“We’re over the moon to step into parenthood together!” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post announcing the pregnancy. “Thank you, Jesus, for this incredible blessing and privilege of becoming a mom and dad. Thank you for entrusting us to raise one of Your precious children. We put our full trust in the plan and purpose You have for our child’s life.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, Demi-Leigh Tebow shared that she and Tim are “so over the moon to be having a baby together.”
“I’m so grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost,” she continued. “To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I’m so grateful that Tim is my husband… that we get to do parenting together.”
Tim added that he is “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.”
The couple also spoke about what they think they will be like as parents, with Tim saying Demi-Leigh will be “a fierce defender and protector.”
“She will be extremely loyal and loving,” he continued. “Demi is someone that is extremely determined. When she sets her mind to something, she goes all the way in — and I know that she will do that as a mom, too.”
Demi-Leigh shared that Tim will be an “extremely gracious” person, which is why he such a great husband and will make him “such a great dad.”
“Our Savior gave us the ultimate amount of grace, and I see Tim live that out as a walking example every single day,” she explained. “That is something that will be so instrumental.”
The Tebows are sure to be amazing parents to their little girl!
