Tim Tebow Breaks Ground on Guatemala ‘Tebow Down’ Campus: ‘Serve More Families’

Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi, have started construction on a new “Tebow Down” campus in Guatemala City to serve families in the area.
“We don’t often see the immediate answer to prayer, but wow thank you Lord and to our giving family for making this NEW campus a reality!” Tebow posted on Instagram. “In December, we shared our heart with you to build a new Tebow Down campus in Guatemala City, a flagship campus to help us meet the opportunity to serve more families. You said yes, and now we get to break ground!”
“Tebow Down Guatemala, a ministry of the Tim Tebow Foundation, provides holistic education and resources to children with developmental disabilities in Guatemala and their families,” the foundation’s website states.
“In the original space in Guatemala City, we grew from serving 55 students to 137 students and the need for a larger, more encompassing campus became very evident,” Tebow continued. “Every week, our team at @downguatemala received calls from families urgently seeking a spot for their child. However, due to limited space, we have been left with no other option but to add these incredible families to an extensive online waiting list. This broke our hearts as our desire is to be able to not only come alongside every single family who reaches out, but also be able to provide a spot for their child to receive therapy and education.”
The new campus will allow the organization to serve more “MVPs” (Most Vulnerable People) in the area.
“This new campus will provide enough space to reach up to 250 students and their families every single day,” Tebow explained. “It is designed as a comprehensive hub where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities will be able to access a wide range of services and resources.”
“Our hope and prayer is that one day we will live in a world where instead of families hearing, ‘I’m so sorry,’ when they introduce their child to their community, they are embraced, celebrated, and equipped with the love, support, and resources they need,” he concluded. “As we come together to build this life-giving campus in Guatemala City, will you join us in praying for the many families who will be walking through our doors? Thank you for walking alongside us on mission, in prayer, and through giving for these incredible families in Guatemala!”
Tebow continues to use his platform to help those in need.

Tim Tebow and his foundation are raising money to build the TTF Protection Center in Thailand as a place to protect up to forty girls rescued from human trafficking.
In a recent Instagram video, Tebow shared, “A few years ago, we deepened our fight in this terrible evil in the world of human trafficking and child exploitation. And in the last 365 days, we’re so excited to share with you that we have grown so much and been part of rescuing thousands and building safe homes in so many different countries.”
Movieguide® previously reported on the work Tebow’s foundation does to fight trafficking. “We’re in 67 countries and we’re building more hospitals right now and we’re building more special needs orphanages and villages and rescuing girls from trafficking. And, I just am so passionate about that.”
Tebow launched this newest campaign with RAPHA International, an organization “committed to offering hope and healing to survivors of child slavery and sexual exploitation.”
This home will specifically “provide elevated security for at-risk survivors while their traffickers face prosecution.”
