Tim Tebow ‘Bring[s] The Bible To Life’ While Touring Biblical Landmarks

Tim Tebow shared his thoughts on a visit to the ancient city of Corinth in a recent Instagram post.
“Demi [Tebow, his wife] & I got the chance to walk through the streets of ancient Corinth, the city where the apostle Paul lived for a year and a half (Ac 18:11-12), established church communities, sent 1 & 2 Corinthians to, most likely wrote ‘Romans’ from, and utilized his trade as a tent maker,” the former football star wrote.
Third Mill wrote about why Paul might have decided to make the city his home, hypothesizing that its “extensive reconstruction and prosperity” and “its ideal location along important trade routes” made it an ideal place to live.
Tebow shared one of his favorite Bible passages as well: “[Love] bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:7).
“Each description of ‘love’ here is not only an action verb, but it’s also a choice,” he explained. “To ‘love’ is to choose. It was so cool to see the ancient temples, roads, synagogues, etc., but while standing in such a surreal place, I was reminded of God’s love for us. He chose our best interest by enduring the cross so that we could be made right with his Dad. Hope you enjoy seeing the sites I walked by, but even more so, be encouraged that no matter what you’ve done, God loves you!”
In the video Tebow posted, he also spoke about what it was like to be in Corinth.
“It’s such an important place in history,” he said. “It’s crazy to be here and study and try to bring the Bible to life that much more.”
Tebow continued, “It’s encouraging and challenging at the same time because so much of Corinthians is about eternity [and] perspective. It’s a great reminder ultimately of what matters because…so many things will not last for eternity, but what we do for Him will.”
Tebow has posted many photos and videos from his trip to Greece, including a stop at the Acropolis, “where Paul debated philosophers while he was in Athens on his 2nd missionary journey (Acts 17). While on Mars Hill, Paul said, “For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god.” (v. 23).”
“So grateful that as believers we don’t serve an ‘unknown god’ but a God that is known through Jesus! His love was made known for all by what He was willing to endure on the cross,” Tebow continued. “Whoever is reading this, you can know God’s love for you, and He invites you into a relationship with Him!
