Tim Tebow: Don’t Get Weary in Doing Good
By Movieguide® Staff
Football-player-turned advocate Tim Tebow recently shared a devotional from the top of a mountain as he reflected on working for God’s Kingdom.
“We’re just near the top of a mountain here in Africa, and it is so beautiful,” Tebow said. “But then all these clouds came rolling in, and you can’t really see the view. And this kind of reminds me how true is that in life? Sometimes we’ve been climbing and we’ve been taking these steps and sometimes it feels like over and over again, but there’s all these clouds around us and you can’t really see the view.
“I just want to encourage you, and although sometimes we can’t see the impact, we can’t see the affect you’re making in your life by the choices or the way you love people and serve people, help people and pray for people, but I think one day, those clouds will disappear,” Tebow continues. “You’ll be able to see just how high up that mountain that you’ve climbed. I don’t want you to get tired or discouraged or weary in doing good, because maybe one day, we’ll see all the things that God let you be a part of. Be encouraged. One day, we’ll be able to see in full. Now, the Bible says we see through a glass dimly. We don’t get to see the full picture. One day we will. These clouds will be here. So keep climbing that mountain.”
Tebow recently shared that he and his wife, Demi-Leigh, are traveling for ministry and mission trips.
The couple has devoted a lot of time to anti-human trafficking work.

“I think the hardest thing for me is there’s so many things that I am very passionate about. No. 1 being everything that we’re doing at TTF (Tim Tebow Foundation). Now we’re in 67 countries and we’re building more hospitals right now and we’re building more special needs orphanages and villages and rescuing girls from trafficking. And, I just am so passionate about that. I would love to coach and love to support, build culture and love on student athletes, but I think it would be hard. I know if I did that, I would be so all-in, and it would really be hard to do some of the other things that I’m so passionate about as well.
“We just believe it’s one of the greatest evils in the world today, and it’s not just something that is happening overseas or in a Third World country or when you turn on the movie ‘Taken,’” Tebow added. “It’s happening in our backyard, it’s happening in our schools, it’s happening in our communities. It’s everywhere. … This is going to take an army of people that say: ‘No longer on our watch are we going to sit back and let this happen or watch this happen or support it happening.’”
