Tim Tebow: ‘If You Have Breath, You Have Purpose’

Former NFL star Tim Tebow shared a powerful message with his social media followers on Tuesday.
“If you have breath, you have purpose,” a photo of his tweet said.
“I believe every single one of us has a mission,” he captioned the photo on Instagram. “What does ‘mission’ mean? Mission means a task or a job someone is given to do, but its origin actually means to be sent.”
As a light for Christ, Tebow believes all life has value. A purpose exists for everyone, whether they “feel” like they have one or not.
“I believe every single one of us has been sent here for a reason. No matter if we feel equipped, or if we feel too young or too old. If you have breath, you have purpose, you have a mission,” he shared.
He challenged his followers to seek their purpose.
“I encourage you to ask yourself, why do you think you’ve been sent? What mission are you on? How can you use the gifts, experiences, and resources God has given you to help love people and bring them a brighter day?” he asked.
Tebow’s message lines up with the heart of his documentary, TIM TEBOW: ON A MISSION.

The NFL star also wrote a book called “Mission Possible” about how to follow God’s purpose because it’s “never too early and it’s never too late to start living a mission possible life.”
In addition to offering faith-based motivation, Tebow actively fights for the vulnerable. He and the Tim Tebow Foundation fight to protect and save disabled children and sex trafficking victims. He also advocates for the protection of unborn children.
At the 2020 Kansans for Life Valentine’s Banquet, he said, “What you’re doing here matters. You’re fighting for life. You’re fighting for people that can’t fight for themselves.”
He asked his listeners, “And my question to you is: Are you willing to stand up in the face of persecution, in the face of adversity, in the face of criticism, when other people are going to say it’s not worth it when other people won’t stand beside you?”
