TROLLS BAND TOGETHER Gets Streaming Debut Date

TROLLS BAND TOGETHER is set to make its streaming debut on Peacock.
The movie, the third in the mega-popular TROLLS series, will premiere on the streaming service March 15. Additionally, a sing-along version will also be released on Peacock.

TROLLS BAND TOGETHER opens with Queen Poppy finding out that her boyfriend, Branch, was once part of the boy band BroZone with his four brothers, Floyd, John Dory, Spruce, and Clay. Now, years later, two pop singers named Velvet and Veneer who can’t sing have kidnapped Floyd. They have trapped Floyd in a diamond prison that allows them to sap his talent, almost killing him. Branch and Poppy embark on a quest to reunite the four brothers to rescue Floyd. Each brother is involved in a fantastic situation, and each step along the journey involves great songs, many of which are famous.
The TROLLS movies are just as popular for their soundtracks. Billboard reported that TROLLS BAND TOGETHER “features the previously released collaboration between Camila Cabello and Anna Kendrick, ‘It Takes Two,’ as well as the long-awaited musical reunion for *NSYNC, ‘Better Place.’”
“Fittingly, Justin Timberlake also returned as the film soundtrack’s executive music producer alongside producer and songwriter Mike Elizondo,” the outlet continued.
TROLLS BAND TOGETHER made over $206 million at the global box office, per Box Office Mojo, and was reviewed favorably. A portion of the Movieguide® review reads:
TROLLS BAND TOGETHER has great music, great character arcs, an impressive amount of love and humor, and a moral theme of not letting anyone steal your talent. The movie also has a heartwarming theme about loving your family. There is a caution for younger children, because there are some scary scenes as well as the death and resurrection of one character, but for children starting at age eight or older, the movie is an absolute delight, and highly recommended.

Despite strong competition from THE HUNGER GAMES and WISH, TROLLS BAND TOGETHER put up solid box office numbers over Thanksgiving weekend, ending with a global gross of over $145 million.
TROLLS BAND TOGETHER marks Dreamwork’s biggest debut since the release of the third HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON movie in 2019. While the animation studio is known for high-budget blockbusters, it has changed its strategy in recent years.
