Ultra-Violent ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD to Re-Release This Weekend With New Footage

By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor

Quentin Tarintino’s ultra-violent ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD will re-release in theaters the weekend of October 25-27th with never-before-seen footage.

Due to violence and language among many other unsavory elements, Movieguide® found the movie “excessive” in content and acceptability.

Deadline reports, “Sony will re-release in about 1,500 theaters on Friday. Four never-before-scenes will be added, book-ending the new print.”

Here’s a snippet from the Movieguide® review:

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD has some captivating scenes. However, the plot meanders too much with scenes that don’t seem to lead anywhere, and the movie is filled with abundant foul language and brutal, extreme violence, especially at the end. There is also some substance abuse and some lewd dialogue. That said, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD makes the evil Manson Family the bad guys and acknowledges the strong bond of friendship between the actor and his stunt double. Media-wise moviegoers will find the movie excessive.
