Up-and-Coming Christian Rapper to Compete on Netflix Show

Mizzy Mitchell, a rising star in the Christian rap world, was recently added as a competitor on Netflix’s popular series RHYTHM AND FLOW.
“Fans and family I would like to announce that I’m on Rhythm + Flow Season 2 @Netflix @rhythmandflownetflix Rap competition Show,” she posted on Instagram. “This season, It has been a blessing to represent Christ on such an amazing platform. Tune in November 20th to see the start of my new journey. All Glory to God.”
RHYTHM AND FLOW premiered in 2019. Hosted by rapper Ludacris, the reality show sees aspiring rappers compete against each other by rap battling, writing new music and performing for a panel of judges. The winner takes home a $250,000 prize.
Ludacris, Latto and DJ Khaled are the series’ main judges, and they shared what they’re looking for in a winner in a recent trailer.
“I’m looking for the full package. I’m looking for somebody that can survive in this new generation,” Latto said.
DJ Khaled added, “I want to discover something special,” while Ludacris shared, “I want to see who has everything to be the next superstar.”
Mitchell previously told fans she was starting a new chapter, in both her life and her musical career.
“I just want to properly and boldly Thank Jesus for this new season that I am stepping into!” she wrote in a 2023 Instagram post. “I don’t know why it took me so long to fully surrender to his will when HE chose me but I’m grateful that I am here now, and I have been becoming the Woman of God I was always called to be.”
In another post, she celebrated her faith journey, writing, “WHAT A YEAR! I came into 2023 not knowing what my identity was. To now knowing that I am a Son Of God (Galatians 3:26-27) I came unto a understanding that I can walk HOLY and live a Sinless life! I fully surrender to Christ because I WANTED to.”
Mitchell continued, “I have done everything under the sun while I was in the world, and I was never satisfied. I was in a lifestyle that had me going in a circle that leads to death. I was fornicating, lying, manipulating, depressed, smoking, and with the same sex to now being freed from that bondage that the enemy had me in! All Glory to Yahweh I can’t wait to see what the lord has for me in 2024!”
