UPtv Actor Brant Daugherty Welcomes Second Son

Actor Brant Daugherty and his wife Kim welcomed their second son during the holiday season.
“We were gonna post for the holidays but ended up having the merriest Christmas of all. Welcome to the world, Aero Lore Daugherty,” Daugherty posted on Instagram along with pictures of the newest member of his family.
The couple revealed that their family would be expanding last October through an announcement on Instagram. Kim later shared how she told her husband that they were going to have another baby boy.
“I told [Wilder], ‘You’re going to be a big brother, now go tell Daddy,’” Kim told E! News. “And he brought the box over the Brant and gave it to him.”
“My toddler just came up to me with a box and I had no idea what it was,” Brant added about the pregnancy reveal.
Along with their newborn, Brant and Kim share a 2-year-old son, Wilder, who was born in March 2021.
“Watching Kim go through labor left me in awe,” Brant told PEOPLE after Wilder’s birth. “She made so many hard decisions to take care of our son and put him first every time. I couldn’t ask for a better mother for our son. She’s so attentive, patient, and loving. Watching her step up to motherhood makes me fall even more in love with her.”
“We’re at that point in our lives where we are ready and excited to be parents,” Kim added. “It’s something we both knew we wanted. It’s so special to start of family of our own.”
After marrying in 2019, the couple greatly prioritized having kids, something that had been high on their list since they began dating.
“When we were first dating and thinking about being exclusive, we had a talk about what we wanted for the future,” Brant explained. “Marriage and kids were high on the list. It’s exciting to be at this point now, so far along in the plan.”

Kimberly shared the sweet way she told her husband she was pregnant. She put the positive pregnancy test in a box labeled “Happy early birthday,” PEOPLE reported.
E! News added that she did the same when she became pregnant with their two-year-old son Wilder. But this time, she gave the box to her son to give to Brant.
