Bruce Willis recently celebrated his 70th birthday surrounded by his family.

“Happy birthday to the Greatest of all time,” daughter Scout posted on Instagram. “Every day I [thank God] that 50% of my DNA is from him. The music I make, the magic I create, and the magnetic mischief I incite, that’s my father’s legacy alive in the world.”

Daughter Tallulah wrote, “He’s a spaceman, a hero with a badge, a sassy detective with unparalleled banter – and it’s been a privilege to witness all these different characters enlivened, and engraved into history because of his innate spirit and soul.”

“But really – this is my Dad,” she continued. “He’s a person, a man, a son, a kid from Jersey who hit the…jackpot of life by the stroke of luck he couldn’t even explain. and I love this Jersey boy, who combed my hair in baths, and always made sure I layed a towel down before eating on his bed, and is known far and wide as the Corn Cake King to our safe circle of intimates.”

Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore, was also part of the birthday celebrations, posting a series of photos of the family together and writing, “Happy birthday, BW! We love you.”

Emma Heming Willis, the DIE HARD actor’s wife, asked fans on Instagram to “flood him with all the love today.”

“He will feel it, I swear he will,” she continued. “You are one powerful bunch. I love how you rally for him, and I’m so grateful that he has you.”

Willis was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022, and a year later, his family announced he had also been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Heming Willis has become an advocate for caregivers, and is also transparent about the ups and downs of handling Willis’ condition.

“Today marks 16 years with the love of a lifetime,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post celebrating the couple’s anniversary. “We’ve shared monumental highs and devastating lows, and through it all, we’ve built something timeless. I’m so deeply grateful for every chapter I’ve had with him — and all the ones we’ll continue to write, in our language of unconditional love.”

Heming Willis commented on the recent deaths of actor Gene Hackman and his wife and caregiver Betsy Arakawa.

“It just made me think of this broader story, and that is that caregivers need care, too. And that they are vital, and that it is so important that we show up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person,” she said in an Instagram video. “I think that there’s this common misconception that caregivers, they got it figured out. They got it covered. They’re good. I don’t subscribe to that.”
