‘We Trust in God’: Chris Pratt Reflects on Wildfire Devastation

Chris Pratt is updating fans on how he and his family are doing following the devastating LA wildfires earlier this month.
“Alright, I’m going to go check out my house. Miraculously, it’s still standing. By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof,” Pratt said in an Instagram video. “I’m going to go check out the town. I haven’t been back since the Palisades fire. It’s truly devastating, as you know.”
The actor shared that his house was “saved” but many houses around his burned down.
“The community’s gone. My son’s school is gone. My son’s mom’s house burned down. Dozens of our friends lost their homes,” Pratt said. “It’s just wild. And we’re resilient, and we trust in God and consider it all a blessing.”
Pratt’s ex-wife, Anna Faris, lost her home in the Palisades fire, with a spokesperson telling PEOPLE, “Anna and her family are safe and very grateful.”
The actor concluded, “Thanks for all your prayers and your support and your help. It’s been inspiring to see how our communities come together. God bless you.”

Pratt previously posted about the wildfires on Instagram, praising the firefighters and first responders on the scene.
“Please send prayers and strength tonight to everyone in Los Angeles affected by these devastating fires,” he wrote. “Thank you to the brave firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and wildlife as they battle fast-moving wildfire fueled by fierce winds. You are true heroes, and we are endlessly grateful for your sacrifice and courage.”
Other celebrities have shared their prayers for those affected by the fires, as well as volunteered their time and money to help.
