Cindy Busby, who plays newcomer Nora Anderson in WHEN HOPE CALLS, is filling us in on what we can expect from Season 2.

“Fans can expect — you know, Jillian and Grace who were originally the leads of season 1 — Grace has now moved to England to start an orphanage out there with her love, and Jillian is about to go visit her to make sure that she’s okay, and then, you know, a new potential family member comes to town,” the actress told Movieguide® this week.

“And it you know, audiences can expect you know some change,” the HEARTLAND actress explained. “There’s a change of the guard so to speak, where you know leads, arch changing, however, it’s the same heart. It’s the same family-type feeling.”

Busby also hinted there will be some fights, drama, comedy and, of course, romance. There are some new villains in town, too.

Christopher Russell, who plays Mountie Michael, hinted to PEOPLE in December: “There’s gonna be a little bit of family-oriented fun, there’s gonna be a lot of heart, and let me tell you, there’s gonna be some romance. Some people are gonna fall in love, they might even kiss, I don’t know.”

Busby said, “The comedy, I would say, is even more powerful this time around, and whatever it is that drew you initially will draw you right back in,” she promises of the WHEN CALLS THE HEART spinoff. “Audiences definitely will not be disappointed.”

She added that the first couple segments of the six-episode season give some satisfaction to a few characters’ storylines that weren’t very full-fledged in season one.

“I think people are really going to get swept up by these wonderful characters. I mean, all of the characters, Sam and Maggie that were originally in and Ronnie, they’re all back and they’re so fun and engaging,” Busby said.

“I mean, when I’m watching it, I’m barely watching myself, I’m watching all of them because they’re so fun and I just can’t get enough of them.”

One of the highlights for Busby while working on the show, besides the historic set and clothes, was working with the young cast of orphan children.

“The orphans at New Hope orphanage are, gosh, they are just a riot. I would say that was probably some of my favorite moments on set was getting to work with them,” she said. “Because you know kids say the darnest things, and when they say things, it’s like even if they said it five times, it’s like every time is the first time, and they’re just so funny.”

Busby learned from their blunt honesty and playful nature.

“It’s such a blessing to get to work with them,” she told Movieguide®.

TVLine’s Ryan Schwartz reports other actors featured in the new season are Trevor Donovan, Nick Bateman, Morgan Kohan and Jocelyn Hudon. As reported by Parade, Lori Loughlin performed in Season 1, and it is unclear if she will resume her role as Abigail Stanton in the series.

WHEN HOPE CALLS came out on Great American Pure Flix April 3, and it will release on Great American Family on April 6.
