What Happens When a Comedian Teams Up with a Pro-Golfer

Comedian Nate Bargatze and Rory McIlroy hit the golf course for a day of fun together.
The PGA Tour Instagram account shared a few photos and videos of the two on the golf course.
In the first video, Bargatze could be seen opening a new glove.
“This is how the pros do it, unpackage the glove on the first tee,” he joked. “I just bought these gloves this morning.”
The Bargatze gave the empty glove package to McIlroy and asked him to “hold my trash.”
“It should be said that I was asleep 20 minutes ago,” Bargatze said as he teed up for the first hole of the day. Despite his jokes, Bargatze had a great first shot as he made the fairway.
In the next video, the comedian asked McIlroy, “What time did you get down here?”
“5:45 a.m.” the golfer answered. “Alarm went off at 5:00 a.m.”
Bargatze was in disbelief as he couldn’t imagine himself getting up that early.
“Oh, but tomorrow you have, like a 1:00 p.m.?” Bargatze asked.
“A late tee time, yeah.” McIlroy said.
“Could have done a late tee time today, but no.” the comedian laughed. “He chose with me, he goes, ‘Let’s do it at 7:10 a.m.’ I was like, ‘Why can’t I come in with you tomorrow tot he tournament at 1:00 p.m.?'”
Bargatze and McIlroy headed to their ball and as it turned out Bargatze was in the bunker.
“I’ll be honest with you, this one might not be mine. It says Nate Bargatze, but there could have been another,” he joked.
Bartgatze goes to hit his ball again and ends up in the next bunker.
“I’m keeping the fairways pristine for these guys, for tomorrow,” the comedian said. “I promised I’d stay in the bunkers.”
The filmer these asked bargatze: “How many warm-up swings did you have this morning?”
Bargatze replied: “I mean, you saw the first swing, so. That was it. There’s never a warm-up, to be honest. But it’s like, you know, usually I’m here more than, right at the time. I mean, it was essentially dark outside when I woke up. I thought like, ‘Maybe, is my clock wrong? How are they gonna play if the sun’s not up?'”
It’s safe to say, Bargatze’s time with McIlroy on the golf course will end up as one of Bargatze’s jokes on stage.
