What You Didn’t Know About This COUNTY RESCUE Star
By Movieguide® Contributor
One of Julia Reilly’s most well-known roles is Dani in COUNTY RESCUE, but there’s probably a thing or two you may not know about the budding actress and her talents.
She’s also a dancer, singer and songwriter, and she plays the ukelele, guitar and piano.
Her career “started with dance. My mom put me in dance class when I was probably two or three. At that dance studio, I auditioned for a musical when I was seven and had no idea what I was doing,” she said.
“I just fell in love with it and never stopped. I feel so fortunate to have grown up near Atlanta, the film industry has really started to grow more,” she said. “So probably when I was 12, or 13, I got more interested in film acting. I really fell in love with that.”
She recently starred in A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS as Amy March.
“It is so special to be a part of a Great American Family Christmas movie for the first time,” she said. “Everyone has just been like a real family amongst all the cast and crew and these girls have felt like sisters on and off set. It has just been such a blessing and a joy, and I’ve had the best time working with everyone.”
She’s currently starring in COUNTY RESCUE Season 2, where she gets to display her own faith through her character.

“It was such a cool experience and the biggest God thing ever to work on a show where faith is such an important aspect of my character because I’m going to work and I’m constantly reminded to be present in my faith because that’s my job,” she said.
“But that’s also our job as followers of Christ in life and so if anything, I can honestly say that playing Dani and working on this show has helped me to grow in my own faith and in my relationship with the Lord in my own life so I’m excited to continue that journey.”
Reilly also starred in STRANGER THINGS as Tammy Thompson. She graduated with an acting degree from the University of Georgia in 2022.
Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
This year, Movieguide® nominated Reilly for the Grace Prize® for Most Inspiring Performance for TV at the Movieguide® Awards Gala. The Movieguide® Awards are now streaming on PureFlix.
“What movie or TV show would you say impacted you the most?” Movieguide® asked Reilly on the Gala red carpet.
“I’m going to say COUNTRY RESCUE, the show I got to work on, and we have Season 2 coming out soon truly because that experience and the people involved have impacted me tremendously, and I’m so grateful for all of them and that whole experience.” She said, “It’s an honor to get to portray our first responders, and I know I speak for all of our cast when I say we just have so much respect and admiration for the work they’re doing.”
Reilly is excited to be a part of Hollywood that creates uplifting content.
“I’m really excited that the movies celebrated tonight have such positive and uplifting aspects to all of them,” she told Movieguide®. “A lot of family and a lot of faith. I think we need more of it in the world and so I feel really grateful to get to make this kind of content and I hope to see just more of that continue to grow and make it more into the mainstream.”
