Though Kathie Lee Gifford sometimes feels weighed down by all the suffering in the world, she’s able to have hope by trusting in Christ.

“God doesn’t want anybody to suffer, but we do cruel and unbelievably heinous things to one another,” the Teddy Bear Award®-winner said on TBN’s PRAISE, “and…those of us who believe in goodness, justice and mercy say, ‘Why Lord? Why are you waiting?’ And He’ll say, ‘Because I love them, too, and I have a plan. It may not be when you think it’s going to come, but it’s going to come.’”

“And Jesus will set His feet on that beautiful mount of olives right where He left off from, and all things will be made right, and there will be no more tears, and there will be no more suffering. His promises are true,” she said through tears.

The actress said last year that she knows her life would be totally different if she hadn’t come to know God.

“I’d be in an insane asylum without Jesus,” she told Fox News. “I’ve been through a lot of crappy stuff in my life. I’ve been blessed beyond belief as well. But I’ve had a lot of things that ended up being very public too, that would have put me away for a long time and done a lot of damage to my family, to my everything.”

But she’s turned to God throughout it all and is the better for it.

“You know, the Bible is very clear about what our relationship with God is supposed to be,” she said in 2020. “It doesn’t say once a week I want you to go and visit me for an hour. Or on Easter Sunday or on Christmas Eve, that’ll be enough. That’ll give you everything in life.”

“No, the Bible says in Acts, it says, ‘In Him, we live and move and have our being’…When we seek a relationship with the living God, it will absolutely transform every aspect of your life,” and her story is a testament to that.
