Why Tim Tebow Wanted to Make a Movie to Encourage Families
By Jessilyn Lancaster, Managing Editor
Athlete Tim Tebow says the script for RUN THE RACE drew him to the project because of its realistic storyline.
“We wanted to tell a movie that was encouraging and inspiring, but also realistic,” Tebow tells Movieguide® of his first movie project.
“There [are] some faith-based movies that [don’t feel realistic] … You don’t always win, and it’s not always perfect. And so we wanted to make this movie to encourage people where they can have faith, hope and love, even in the midst of the hard times, and it doesn’t have to change in your peaks or your valleys. That was something that really resonated with me.”
