Dallas Jenkins Shares Why You Should Watch CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN: HOLY NIGHT

On Tuesday, THE CHOSEN Director Dallas Jenkins and Christian artist Brandon Lake shared 10 reasons to watch THE CHOSEN’s new Christmas special, CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN: HOLY NIGHT.
“It’s on the big screen with the surround sound,” Jenkins offered.
“It’s like year one and two [of THE CHOSEN Christmas specials] woven together,” Lake piped in.
For the third and fourth reasons, Jenkins said that he directed it, and Lake said that he is in it.
Lake continued, “You can cry, and no one’s going to judge you because everyone else is going to be crying.”
“Yes,” Jenkins agreed. “Including me.”
They added that Phil Wickham, Zach Williams, Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo Bocelli are all in it.
“You don’t have to have seen the show before to love this…If you’ve got friends who haven’t seen the show yet, this is the perfect intro. It’s the birth of Christ. It’s the birth of THE CHOSEN. It’s the birth of the song ‘Gratitude,’” Jenkins said as he gestured to Lake.
And finally, “It will change your life,” Lake finished.

“THE CHOSEN changed my life,” Lake explained. “I remember me and my wife watching it, about to turn in for the night and, when He enters the scene, it was as if Jesus walked into our bedroom. The glory of God filled our bedroom in such a crazy way, through the TV.”
He continued, “I remember being speechless for probably 10 minutes; it felt like an hour. [I] didn’t say a thing and it was like bringing the Word from black and white into full color.”
Lake performed “Gratitude” in THE CHOSEN’s second Christmas special, THE MESSENGERS. The latest special features a new performance by Lake.
A few weeks ago, Jenkins explained that he wanted to combine THE CHOSEN’s first two Christmas specials to make them into something even more special.
“I didn’t think it would work great, but it might be an interesting experiment. When Amanda and I saw the first rough cut, we were so moved…it does work, and the nativity story took on even more relevance,” he said. “We decided to take your favorite music performances from the first two specials [to] create an ultimate Christmas special. And guess what? The amazing Andrea Bocelli performed ‘O Holy Night’ exclusively for the special.”
