Will Mario Lopez’s Son Follow in His Dad’s Famous Footsteps?

Mario Lopez is one of the most successful actors of his generation, now it seems that his son may be following in his footsteps as he looks to get into the entertainment business.
“My daughter’s done stuff, but my middle son, Dominic, is really into it,” Lopez told People. “He wants to do more. People have already reached out to him. I wasn’t trying to encourage him or discourage him one way or the other. We’ve been trying to be supportive.”
Dominic was given his first major acting role last winter when he joined his parents on Great American Media’s ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH. The movie was the first of a new partnership between Great American Family and Lopez who wants to get into creating more family-friendly content.
“I really wanted my family to be involved in my first film for Great American Family,” Lopez said last December. “So, my wife, who’s wildly talented, sings, dances, acts [in this movie] beautifully [as well as] my son, Dominic, who also sings, dances and acts. I was honored to have them be in the film with me. This is a very special project, and it’s come together great. And I’m very proud of them.”
As of late, Lopez has continued to make acting more of a family affair, bringing his wife and kids to the Movieguide® Awards when he hosted the show earlier this year. While they were on the red carpet, Dominic revealed what his favorite show is, and how he is beginning to enjoy the plot of TV shows and movies, not the just action.
“Well, my favorite TV show is COBRA KAI,” Dominic told Movieguide®. “I watched all six seasons twice. I love that show. I’m obsessed with it. It’s my favorite show ‘cause I like a lot of action in shows and I’m starting to get to the point, starting to get older to where, like, I don’t just all want action. I can understand, like, talking and stuff too, like the drama and everything.”

Really, there’s a lot of sickness going on in the entertainment field, and Ted Baehr with Movieguide® has got the answer, he’s got the cure. If you want to make money in the movie business, make family films, make faith-friendly films, and they make money. Plus, they’re good for our nation,” Pat Boone told Movieguide® while on the red carpet for the Movieguide® Awards.
“I want Movieguide® to keep doing what Movieguide® has been doing, which is recognizing the creativity that people are capable of and that [entertainment] can be elevating and not just money making, not just box office smashes that may be bad for the country, bad for young people, and bad for families,” Boone added. “I just think it’s something that must be supported. If we don’t support it, we’re going to get the result.”
