Will Your Favorite Show Hit Cable This Year?

Deadline just released the cable and streaming programs list for the remainder of 2024, including dates for YELLOWSTONE and THE CHOSEN Season 4.
There’s no premiere week this year, a trickle-down effect from the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, but many popular series will have new seasons to show fans.
“All of the broadcast networks have set return dates for most of their shows,” but “series return to production with lower episode counts this truncated season,” Deadline reported June 2.
The roster lists numerous cable and streaming programs through the end of the year, though many are still listed as to be announced (TBA).
Upcoming 2024 titles include DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD (PBS Kids, Season 7) on August 12, THE CHOSEN (The CW, Season 4) on September 1, YELLOWSTONE (“Paramount Network, Season 5B; final season; moved from November 2023”) November 10, NCIS (CBS, Season 22) and NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS, new drama series) will release sometime in the fall (TBA).

The animated children’s series will have 14 episodes and will feature a new format as well as a 30-minute special.
“For the first time, DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD will feature stories from the points-of-view of familiar friends,” Deadline reported Thursday. “Each half-hour will include one story from Daniel’s perspective and another from the perspective of characters including Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, O the Owl, Prince Wednesday, Jodi Platypus, Max and Chrissie. The show’s ‘Imagination Moments’ also will be presented from the unique perspectives of other characters to illustrate each friend’s own imaginative style.”
TV Line reported comments about THE CHOSEN Season 4 from its director, Dallas Jenkins. “Season 4 marks the midpoint of the most famous and influential story in human history,” he said. “It will be painful, and it will be joyous. It will be bittersweet. But by all measures, Season 4 will also be our best.”
Some fans already got to see Season 4 when it came to theaters in February and March and started on the app on June 2.
Deadline reported June 3, “The CW has been THE CHOSEN’s U.S. broadcast home since the network picked up the first three seasons one year ago, so it was expected that the fourth season would air on CW as well.”
