Witney Carson Prayed Over Leaving DANCING WITH THE STARS to Prioritize Family
By Movieguide® Contributor
DANCING WITH THE STARS pro dancer Witney Carson announced in a TikTok video that she will not return for season 32 of the hit dance show.
“This was not a decision that we took lightly at all,” Carson stated. “We definitely thought and prayed about it for a while, but we will not be doing DANCING WITH THE STARS this season. As much as that pains me to say, I just felt very at peace with it.”
Carson shared why she made the decision and why she feels at peace.
“You guys know that family is the most important thing to me, and we just really felt that moving our entire family across the country right now was not for us,” Carson expressed. “Leo’s at an age where he needs consistency and dependability, and he hasn’t had that ever since he’s been born. We’re just really trying to give him that right now.
“I also feel like I’m not quite mentally and physically ready for what the show calls for. I love dance. That is my passion, so this was definitely a hard decision,” she explained. “But I will be rooting for everybody on the show, I cannot wait to watch. I’m so excited. I definitely think this is just a break. I hope it’s not goodbye. But for now, we will be their No. 1 cheerleader watching. Love you guys.”
Carson is married to Carson McAllister, and the duo share sons Leo (2) and Jet (3 months).
She recently shared a photo of Jet’s baptism on Instagram. She wrote, “Baby blessing for our sweet boy! Such a special day for our family- Carson gave a beautiful blessing to our son and I’m feeling extra grateful for all my boys. We love you Jet Carson McAllister!”
The full cast for season 32 of DANCING WITH THE STARS will be released September 13, Deadline reported.
