Wynonna Judd is ready to hit the road for her upcoming “Back To Wy” tour.

“Two words…NUH-STALGIA,” she announced in an Instagram post. “I am thrilled to FINALLY announce that I’ll be hitting the road this fall, with the BACK TO WY Tour!!!!”

She continued, “We’re going to travel back to the 90’s, celebrating my start as a solo artist and performing my first TWO albums, ‘Wynonna’ and ‘Tell Me Why,’ top to bottom, back to back, in their entirety! This means we get to play the hits, the deep cuts, and everything in between.”

Judd said sharing this tour with her fans “means the world” to her and will “be such a trip down memory lane.”

“As I sit and listen to these two records, I’m flooded with the memories that surrounded that time in my life,” she went on. “The fans held me up and supported me through a season of change in 1992, and I now see ‘herstory’ repeating itself. This music healed me then, and is healing me now. The circle of life continues…”

Judd gave more details about the upcoming tour in an interview with People.

“I’ve been on the road since 19 and ’83. So you do the math — and touring is one of my absolute favorite things to do,” she shared. “Coming out of The Judds tribute tour, for me, it was time to get back to the intimacy again. It’s years celebrating not only being in country music for 40 years, but me as a soloist — I have so much to celebrate.”

Judd’s tour announcement comes just 16 months after the death of her mother, fellow country star Naomi Judd.

“Our beloved mother and wife succumbed to mental illness,” the Judd family said in a statement following Naomi’s death. “In the aftermath of this tragedy, our family has tried to grieve, together, with our community, and importantly, with the privacy that everyone who loses a family member deserves.”

Movieguide® previously reported on how Judd has been relying on her faith to help her handle the loss of her mother:

Wynonna also shared that there are moments of normalcy that get interrupted by her sorrow — one minute, she’s planning dinner with her husband, the next, she’s in tears.

“I’m crying a lot and that’s okay,” she stated.

The singer also revealed what’s been getting her through this time: her faith.

“It’s the Holy Spirit thing for me,” Wynonna said. “I feel the Lord, and I feel joy and I feel sorrow all at the same time.”
