‘You Can Do It’: SHARK TANK’s Lori Greiner Encourages Aspiring Entrepreneurs

SHARK TANK’s Lori Greiner is sharing some words of encouragement for wannabe entrepreneurs.
“We are in a time and in a phase — and I think SHARK TANK actually helped that — of people wanting to take their life into their own hands,” Greiner told Movieguide®. “[To] feel empowered, be entrepreneurial, be what this country’s founded on. And I think they learned from it. Kids are fascinated by it, and we’re just right for the times.”
When asked if she’s “moved” by the stories she hears about people with big dreams, Grenier answered, “Yes, always!”
“I can relate to them. I was them,” she continued. “I was just a person with a dream, had an idea, had to figure it all out from scratch, made it happen. I always say, entrepreneurs are the only ones willing to work 80 hours a week to avoid working 40. That was me, and that’s a lot of people in this country, and you can do it.”
Today, Greiner is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in America.
“Well known as one of the most prolific inventors of retail products of our time, Lori started with one idea and turned it into a multi-million dollar international brand,” her website reads. “She has created & marketed over 1,000 successful products and holds 120 US and International patents.”
In an interview with Forbes, the businesswoman discussed how she gets her ideas.
“I think most people are born being a certain type or have a certain affinity to be better at certain things,” Greiner explained. “I was always a creative person. Typically, I get my best ideas when I am on an airplane! It’s quiet and I have time to think and focus. I often think about what I needed in the marketplace and what I think would be a great product. Often, my products are created from my own needs or the needs of others around me.”
In addition to her work in the business world, Greiner is one of SHARK TANK’s most popular judges.
