You Can Honor Vets By Going to a Movie This Veterans Day

Regal Cinemas announced it is partnering with the Gary Sinise Foundation, donating $1 per popcorn sold and offering reduced ticket prices this Veterans Day.
“Veterans Day is an opportunity for Americans to take a moment to honor our men and women in uniform for their service to our country,” said Richard M. Grover, Head of Marketing at Regal. “Through our partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, we are able to share our collective gratitude on this national holiday for those called upon to protect and defend our freedoms.”
Regal will screen two military movies, which veterans will have free access to, while non-military citizens can purchase tickets for $5.
“LONESOME SOLDIER tells the story of a young serviceman deployed to Iraq who must later confront the effects of post-war PTSD on his mental health and relationships with those closest to him,” Regal’s announcement said.
THE REAL AMERICAN presents the unwavering patriotic life of citizen Evan Thompson alongside short stories of other unsung heroes who participated in crucial missions in recent American conflicts,” the announcement continued. “Moviegoers wishing to participate in the popcorn promotion to benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation can make a purchase at the concession stand of their local Regal theatre on Veterans Day.”
Sinise has been a strong supporter of veterans for a long time. His foundation has provided numerous experiences to veterans while providing monetary and mental support as well. His role in FORREST GUMP led Sinise to launch the foundation in 2011.
“Supporting our nation’s heroes is my lifelong mission and I will continue to serve it faithfully,” Sinise said. “It’s an honor to be recognized and the best part is that I get to, in turn, shine a light and recognize the true heroes who serve our country.”
“Regardless of whether you are left or right, Republican or Democrat, conservative, liberal, whatever, our defenders defend us all,” Sinise added, “and having been in the military community for so long, I have met extraordinary people serving our country.”
Regal’s Veterans Day offer is only valid on Nov. 11.
