YouTube has updated its NFL Sunday Ticket Package so that subscribers can now pay monthly instead of annually.

“NFL Sunday Ticket is a premium sports package bringing you Sunday afternoon (Eastern Time) regular season National Football League (NFL) games not carried on local broadcasts in your area,” YouTube wrote on its website.

For example, “If you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan in Miami, you can watch all of the Sunday Cowboys games that aren’t shown on NBC, CBS, or FOX in your area,” the company wrote.

The package once cost YouTube TV subscribers $378 per year and non-subscribers $480 per year. Now, subscribers can pay a monthly fee of $31.50. However, subscribers cannot cancel their subscription whenever; they are locked into a 12-month subscription plan.

“If you purchase NFL Sunday Ticket through a monthly payment plan, you’ll be charged your first payment at the time of purchase, and you won’t be able to cancel your membership for the season you purchased. You will be automatically charged on a monthly basis for all remaining payments due for that season,” the pricing page reads.

So, subscribers who get the NFL Sunday Ticket Package can watch “Every Sunday Every game. All in one place.” They also can access the YouTube TV Base Plan, which is “100+ live channels like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and ESPN for more live sports and local & national NFL games for an additional $59.99/mo.” Subscribers also have the “option to add NFL RedZone to get whip around coverage of every game on Sunday afternoon.”

Cord Cutter News explained that the pricing for the NFL Sunday Ticket package is “higher than one year ago at the same period, but it’s the same price as you would have paid during the regular season last year.”

Unfortunately, this update doesn’t actually address the requests from subscribers, according to On3.

Many fans have asked that YouTube provide packages for specific teams, and they don’t want to be locked into a membership for a full year. The update doesn’t change either of those issues.

On3 also noted that the option to pay monthly isn’t available in Colorado, Maine, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin or U.S. territories. NFL fans in those states will still have to pay in one lump sum.

While YouTube TV’s NFL Sunday Ticket Package pricing change will help out those who can’t shell out $400 at one time, the monthly plan still locks subscribers in for 12 months. But for the NFL’s biggest fans, the price tag will probably be worth it.
