In FREDDY VS. JASON, two infamous, mad slasher killers join forces to terrorize teenagers in a small town called Springwood. Thus, fans of horror movies can get two killers for the price of just one movie.
Banished to Hell by the Springwood authorities who have erased all memory of him from their town, the spirit of notorious child killer Freddy Krueger resurrects the body of serial slasher Jason Voorhees by posing as Jason’s mother. Freddy thinks that by getting Jason to start slaughtering teenagers in Springwood, the teenagers will begin remembering Freddy’s name. This will empower Freddy to once again invade their nightmares and satisfy his bloodlust.
When Jason brutally kills his first teenager, two teenagers escape from the mental institution where the authorities have placed potential victims of Freddy, to prevent them from dreaming. Will is worried about his old girlfriend, Lori. Will’s friend, Mark, has been drugged by the doctors to stop him from dreaming about Freddy. Lori, however, has overheard the police chief mentioning Freddy. Her knowledge of Freddy’s name is giving the killer added strength.
Will, Mark, and Lori team up with several other teenagers to stop Freddy. Meanwhile, Freddy discovers that Jason is not so willing to step aside. A showdown between the two bloodthirsty killers ensues, with the teenagers caught in the middle.
FREDDY VS. JASON is, of course, filled with gruesome violence and gore. It also contains a barrage of foul and vulgar language, not the least of which are the bon mots that Freddy tosses off as he harasses his victims. Scenes of explicit nudity and depicted sex round out the reasons why everyone should avoid this abhorrent movie, which also features a nominalistic worldview with occult elements.
