A CHRISTMAS FOR THE AGES is a light, meaningful comedy on the Great American Family network. The story takes place in modern day where four generations of women are doing a progressive Christmas dinner at the three mothers’ home. Savannah, the great granddaughter suggests they celebrate Christmas by looking back at Christmas celebrations in the 1940s, 1960s and 1990s. The Christmas celebrations bring two new budding romances for Savannah and her great-grandmother. The women decide to sing a medley of Christmas songs at the local Christmas pageant Savannah is helping to produce.

A CHRISTMAS FOR THE AGES is a funny, heartwarming celebration of Christmas and family with biblical references to God and Jesus promoting the idea that Christmas, family and love are timeless.

Every year, the four women have a progressive dinner at Christmas where one of the mothers prepares appetizers one night, another prepares an entrée another night and the third mother prepares desserts on the final night. At a tea together, Savannah, the youngest, suggests that they do historical themes this year. Her great grandmother will center her night on how she celebrated Christmas in the 1940s. Her mother will celebrate the 1990s when she makes the entre dinner. Finally, her grandmother will celebrate the 1960s on the final night, the dessert night.

At the tea, both the great grandmother and Savannah announce that they’re seeing someone. So, the rest of the movie shows how the two new boyfriends fit in with the family.

A CHRISTMAS FOR THE AGES is everything a viewer looks for in a Christmas television movie. The main characters openly share the true meaning of Christmas with Jesus as the reason for the season. They weave that theme throughout the movie. The movie concludes with the ladies singing three songs together at a Christmas pageant. Joining them at the end are the two husbands and the two new boyfriends. The filmmakers generate lots of humor when the great granddaughter introduces her new boyfriend, Rudy, to her father, Steve. Another enjoyable aspect is watching how the four generations of women work together to celebrate Christmas.
