More Detail:
DAREDEVIL: IN THE BLOOD begins with the Russian mob learning of Claire’s new connection to “the man in the mask,” so they kidnap her to find out Matt’s identity. This episode also introduces the mysterious villain in charge, Wilson Fisk, who believes Hell’s Kitchen must be destroyed before it can be rebuilt into something great. A budding relationship between Fisk and an art dealer named Vanessa begins. When the Russians meddle in Fisk’s personal life, he kills one of the Russian mob leaders and starts a war, but frames “the man in the mask” for it. DAREDEVIL: IN THE BLOOD is the first of what could be seen as a three episode plot arc that shows off Fisk’s power and how far he will go to get what he wants. Matt goes out of his way to save Claire, to whom he finally reveals his true identity: Daredevil. The worldview continues to promote a moral worldview of fighting for the weak and innocent, but the end of this episode includes the most brutal scene yet, so it’s not acceptable viewing.
