Episodes: Season Overview
More Detail:
“Nelson v. Murdoch” is not as good or exciting as the previous episode. After Matt barely escaped after nearly being killed by an assassin and Fisk, Foggy discovered that Matt is the man in the mask. Through flashbacks, the viewer sees how Foggy and Matt became friends in school, and then decided that they weren’t cut out for working for a big law firm, instead wanting to help the little guy. Foggy feels betrayed that Matt never told him his secret, and it looks as if the friendship is over. Meanwhile, Page and Ulrich are looking for other evidence they can use against Fisk. The episode ends with Fisk losing someone close. “Nelson v. Murdoch” is a little more slow as it mostly deals with back-story and Foggy and Matt’s falling out. Their argument isn’t too dramatic, and it’s hard to empathize with Foggy’s idealism after rooting for Matt’s crime fighting for nine episodes. “Nelson v. Murdoch” also has stronger foul language compared to previous episodes. So, extreme caution is advised.
