GROOMZILLA is a comedy about a man who becomes obsessed with planning his wedding after his fiancée wishes he would be more involved. Hysterically funny and filled with laughs, GROOMZILLA has a strong moral worldview that promotes marriage, resolution, forgiveness, love, and family.
The movie’s opening introduces the audience to Tucker, a building contractor, and his longtime girlfriend, Alyssa, a dentist. After Tucker misses Alyssa’s award speech for work, he makes it up to her by proving his love and asking her to marry him. Tucker gives her his “family ring” that provides the bride with her deepest wish. Alyssa says yes to Tucker’s proposal and plans an engagement party.
However, Tucker forgets about the engagement party and arrives after the party’s over. He overhears Alyssa crying to her best friend that she wished Tucker would be more involved in their wedding. Her wish comes true, and the next day Tucker drops off a handful of wedding dress magazines at Alyssa’s work.
At first, Tucker’s enthusiasm impresses Alyssa, but eventually he becomes obsessed with wedding planning. He moves the date to summer, insists on expensive venues and a hot air balloon ride, chooses the cake, and shows up to Alyssa’s bridal fitting. In addition, Tucker fires his best friend from being his man of honor because he isn’t involved enough.
Tucker becomes overbearing and makes plans for the wedding with Alyssa. She becomes upset because he’s neglecting their relationship, and not allowing her to have any input in the marriage. Will Tucker and Alyssa go through with the wedding?
