More Detail:
Opening with a casual blood bath that results in eleven deaths, including the Commissioner of the Detroit Police Department, BEVERLY HILLS COP III is the latest and most insulting yet of the series starring Eddie Murphy making his return appearance as Axel Foley. In tracking the apparent car theft ring responsible, Axel goes back to Beverly Hills where he once again meets up with his counterpart, Billy Rosewood. Together they take on a small army surrounding the head of security at Wonder World (a Disneyesque theme park), who also happens to be the bad guy who murdered Axel’s boss.
With the single exception of Bronson Pinchot, who turns in a brilliant comic performance, the screenplay, premise and every other element in BEVERLY HILLS COP III are so lame as to be laughable. With cheesy special effects and sets, implausible situations and plot devises and the incredibly bad aim of almost all of the villains, the viewer is constantly required to suspend his disbelief. With the typical amount of foul language, a body count of 25, the exploitation of the female body, and the blatant disrespect for human life, the moral viewer will spend most of the movie either being insulted or offended. What is worse is that BEVERLY HILLS COP III is a movie without heart.
